Communicating

Tyler found a new way to communicate! He's typing. His first try at his name was "6tylrrr" but then he did it perfectly in therapy! Pretty soon he'll be telling us exactly what he wants and I can't wait to see what he has to say!

This opens new doors for Tyler because he can tell us all what he wants until he can get the words out. The prayers for him have been helping and we are all thrilled!

Thanks for the continued prayers and thoughts sent his way... Keep it up and he'll be typing stories and telling jokes!

Traci has learned how to blow her nose and I was thrilled about that, now waiting for her to say HI to me also when I walk in. I rhink about you guys often, and always hoping for the best for Tyler and his wonderful family. Take care and keep the faith.

  5. I went to see Tyler last week and he's doing great. He understands everything we talk to him about and he is starting to hold conversations for longer periods of time. He is so determined to walk so he can go fishing and drink some beer on the pontoon boat this summer with us. His recovery is going smoothly and though it's going to take time Tyler has so much determination that I have complete confidence he will make a full recovery.

  7. Tyler is just soo strong, so ambitious, sooo completely outrageous, that no matter how hard anyone tries to stop him, he WILL get through this...I don't care how long it takes, he is going to prove the disbeleivers wrong and come back with a recovery that allows him to be the same funny, loving, protecting, caring, whole hearted person that he always was...I miss you ty, I can't wait to hear your voice and see your beautiful face again... and thank you to everyone who continues to pray for him....God bless :)

  9. He's doing good. Sorry for no update. It's been hard to determine things lately. But he's typing and learning to walk and talk and improving amazingly. He doesn't think he's doing that well but he doesn't realize because of his "stupid wheelchair" as he likes to say.
